As part of the 2024 Summer Camp program, students from Viet Au International School (VAUIS) embarked on an exciting and enriching trip to Tam Nong Farm. This standout extracurricular activity provided the children with memorable real-world experiences and valuable lessons from nature.
At the farm, VAUIS-ers dressed in traditional Áo Bà Ba outfits, immersing themselves in the vibrant riverside culture of the Mekong Delta. The students enthusiastically participated in outdoor folk games, such as catching fish, rowing boats, paddling basket boats, crossing monkey bridges, egg hunting, and pig smashing. These activities not only brought joy and laughter but also helped the children develop physical skills, dexterity, and a strong sense of teamwork.
Throughout the journey, the students were guided by their teachers and tour guides in both Vietnamese and English. This bilingual approach not only enhanced their vocabulary but also deepened their understanding of farm life and animal care, including chickens, goats, cows, and ducks. The students also explored the process of producing high-quality organic products, gaining valuable insights into sustainable farming practices.
The trip to Tam Nong Farm not only brought joy and practical knowledge to the students but also helped them develop essential life skills, foster independence, and nurture creativity. These experiences are sure to become cherished memories, shaping their character and intellect for the future.
VAUIS Summer Camp always aims to provide students with engaging and valuable real-world experiences, supporting their holistic development in thinking, physical well-being, and emotional growth. Stay tuned for more exciting activities in the upcoming weeks of the VAUIS 2024 Summer Camp!
