With the aim of providing students with opportunities to apply English in real-life situations, Viet Au Primary School (VAUIS) organized a bilingual field trip to Hai Nam Bookstore and Dinosaur Café. The trip offered VAUIS-ers an exciting day of learning and exploration, where they discovered the world of books, practiced English communication, and enjoyed meaningful activities with their teachers and friends.
Discovering the World of Books and Nurturing a Love of Reading
At Hai Nam Bookstore, VAUIS-ers had the opportunity to explore books of their choice, discover new topics, and select titles that matched their interests.

Through reading and book exploration, students were encouraged to develop their observation skills, critical thinking, and love of reading. The activity also gave them the chance to seek knowledge independently, broaden their understanding, and build positive learning habits.
Practicing English Communication in Real-Life Situations
Beyond exploring books, VAUIS-ers practiced communicating in English with their teachers and friends throughout the trip. These familiar, everyday interactions allowed students to apply what they had learned in class, gradually improving their language reflexes and confidence in using English.
In particular, the challenge of introducing their favorite books in English gave students an opportunity to express themselves, share their interests, and practice presenting in front of others.
From the initial hesitation to the confidence of completing their presentations, every VAUIS-er had the chance to experience the joy of using English in a natural and engaging way.

Developing Teamwork and Confidence
Through shared activities, students practiced listening, interacting, and working together during their experiences. Every moment spent playing, chatting, or completing challenges together helped strengthen their friendships and sense of connection.
Meanwhile, the exciting exploration space at Dinosaur Café offered students time to unwind, share laughter, and create wonderful memories with their classmates.
Learning English Through Experiences – Making Learning Fun
The bilingual field trip to Hai Nam Bookstore and Dinosaur Café gave students the opportunity to connect classroom knowledge with real-life situations. Through reading, communicating, and introducing their interests in English, students not only practiced their language skills but also developed independence, self-expression, and a willingness to try new things.
At Viet Au Primary School, learning extends beyond the classroom through meaningful, real-world experiences. We believe that every opportunity for students to dare to speak, dare to try, and dare to express themselves helps nurture their confidence, love of learning, and journey toward holistic development.
